Evaluating the impact of a training program on mothers’ awareness and perceptions of antibiotic use and antimicrobial resistance in pediatric care

The study investigates the impact of a training course on mothers’ awareness and opinion of antibiotic use and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) among their children. A total of 161 mothers participated, divided into 82 training and 79 control groups. Results showed significant improvement in awareness scores and opinions post-training. The study suggests that replicating these training initiatives can empower mothers to prevent infections, address their child’s health issues, and actively participate in treatment decisions, fostering a collaborative approach to healthcare.
